The Magikal Woodland Walk with the Forest School in Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries and Galloway.
The Magikal Woodland Walk is a three dimensional interactive adventure for all the family that draws you into the enchanting world of woodland folklore and imagination.
The woodland comes alive with pixies and dragons, unicorns and trolls.
An Enchanted Waiting Area was set up by the Sensory Garden, with a variety of interesting and curious activities, face paints, craft, storybook reading area, wishing line and good old fashioned bubbles! Oh and a place to collect your enchanted name tag!

The Forest School
Cecilia Franklin, Forest School Teacher was on hand throughout the day leading sessions in the forest that incorporated lessons in Bushcraft and educational play that involved nature. It was a new way of learning and very very fun and hands on! She runs sessions in Dumfries and Galloway throughout the year and for more information feel free to contact her.

The Twilight Adventure
Come along and join us for regular Twilight Adventures this year.
Expect a three dimensional interactive walk in the forest. Complete a quest and meet amazing characters along the way. At the end meet up with Susi Sweet Pea the fairy in the storytelling circle for some tales and sometimes some yummy hot chocolate.

May 4th 2014 (Sunday) between 4pm - 7pm
Meet at the Clock Tower, Ann St in Gatehouse of Fleet
Expect to be lead on a 800mtr walk through the woods with Families in the Forest leader Cecilia Franklin
Expect to see some GIANT surprises on the way to the beautiful storytelling area in the woods. There Susi Sweet Pea the Fairy will tell TALL tales while you enjoy the picnic supper that you brought along. We will provide some tasty hot chocolate.
Dont worry if its a bit rainy - we will be sheltered and anyways - yer neither sugar nor salt so ye willna melt!
The route is fairly flat, buggies and wheelchairs will be able to access the storytelling area though its not a perfect ride, it is achievable.
Wear suitable clothes and footwear for a walk in the woods and bring a picnic supper if you wish to eat under the beautiful canopy of trees. Bluebells are out....mmmmmm.....lovely.
